Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Arts (BA) or Science (BSc) or equivalent from a recognized university.
- Proficiency in computers (Word Processing and Spreadsheets).
- Must have passed Matriculation with Punjabi as a compulsory or elective subject (or equivalent).
- Candidates without Punjabi at Matriculation level must pass it during the probation period if selected.

Selection Process
- Computer Based Test (CBT):
- 60 marks, 60 MCQs (English Composition & General Knowledge).
- Duration: 1 hour, no negative marking.
- Shortlisting: 3 times the number of vacancies based on normalized marks.
- English Shorthand & Transcription Test:
- Dictation at 80 WPM, transcription at 20 WPM on computer.
- Max 8% mistakes allowed to qualify.
- Spreadsheet Test:
- Qualifying nature, 10 marks, 10 minutes.
- Minimum 40% (4 marks) required to qualify.
- Document Verification/Interaction: Based on merit in Shorthand Test.
Final Merit: Based solely on performance in the English Shorthand & Transcription Test.
